Affecting the World Through Art...

Easel Park was originally an idea for a theme camp at Burning Man.  We wanted to create art that would showcase artists from around the world in a 8′ x 4′ format.  It has grown to a year round commitment and the art created for Easil Park are shown in  several venues year round.

Easel Park is proud to announce!

Dan Katra and Friends will be hosting  a party opening up their creative worlds. You are invited to come see the art and hear the music.

“I have been extremely fortunate in my seven years living in Sonoma County to have met a rich network of fellow artists, creators, music people who have inspired me here to create. This is a ’2012 Party’ to celebrate and share a bit of my path and hear some amazing music and connect with each other.  My friends Jerry Hannan, RadioActive, Ali Weiss, and Steve Serra (Sparrow One-Man-Funk) are honoring me by performing. I hope you can attend and if not, you can still join this group to receive updates and learn more about the artists involved”.

Dan Katra has led creative past lives in Missoula, Boulder, Seattle, but is now a Bay Area poster artist, painter, and designer whose work has been featured at festivals, while his illustration work is distributed widely throughout the country. He is currently based in Sebastopol, CA and credits the San Francisco art movement of the 60′s with being his inspiration for beginning to get back into art after studying philosophy and literature at the University of Montana.

Dan has studied under the great Stanley Mouse and regularly exhibits as a member of the Rock Poster Society (TRPS). He has created the art for the upcoming Higher Vision Festival and has been a featured artist at past Harmony Festivals and the Wakarusa Music Festival (2006).

In the spirit of the times this is a FREE SHOW and All-Ages. Art show will run until the end of June. Paintings, posters and prints will be available. This show is dedicated to Johnny Downer and his music will be played between sets throughout the night.
